I found $20 bucks in a a jacket pocket once. That memory has been forever cheapened by this event.

Its not that I dont appreciate "modern art", its just that the colors and swirls and paint drops that this type of artwork is known for simply doesnt do anything for me and I dont see it as requring any kind of "skill". To me, aside from the picture above of the guys face, ok, I can see that and I see that as a viable form of art. The other stuff..looks like if you dropped block busters into open paint pails and the resulting splatters on canvas are the finished product. Am I the only one who feels this way? I wouldnt pay a dollar for anything that looked like that. Give me something that looks like something that is obviously something that someone spent actual time and skill to produce, and Ill call it art. The other kinds of art, like a big white sheet with a black dot off center, or the square boxes of different colors is the same shit to me. Now, Andy Warhol's stuff I see that as art, and that is considered "modern art".

"Modern" art is just a bunch of lazy motherfuckers who got tired of painting shit that looks like SOMETHING and started painting shit that looks like NOTHING, got some other assholes to agree and call it "ART" and the rest is the shameful history of the genre.

I can't blame these artist 100% here. After jerk offs started dishing out millions for their doodles and paint spills, wouldnt you try to look "tortured" and shit out a few million dollar masterpieces too?
