I was looking for a picture of Wild Bill Hagy for a sig pic, when I came across this site. If you've ever been to Camden Yards, you may have seen this guy. We used to have tickets in the lower deck along the first base line, and we'd see him every game. He's a lemonade vendor, and his whole shtick is that when you buy a lemonade from him, he'll shake it for you -- except he shakes his whole body in a really exagerated fashion. It's pretty hokey, but the crowds seem to like it -- he sells an assload of lemonades, and many people tip him a buck or two, so I think he's making out pretty well.

Anyway, from this website I see that he is now considered an entertainer, auctioneer and a motivational speaker. Of course you can hire him for parties and events. More power to him, I guess. He's been able to parlay what otherwise might be a pretty crappy job and some two dimensional shtick into a whole other thing. I'm just amazed at what can get you in the public eye in this day and age.

Ron & Fez Show Log; Daily News Scratch N' Match is the Devil
The Music Mikey Likes Show on RadioBBQ, weekdays 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Now with new theme song by BoBoGolem

The Lemonaide isnt any better than any lemonaide served at a county
fair or some similar event. He's not all that entertaining,
actually kind of irritating. But apparently, every team is
allowed to send a vendor to the all-star game, and this guy always reps
the O's. I'm not a real fan, but more power to him.

In Philadelphia, this guy would be severely beaten.

Matt Laughlin used to interview this guy during the game every time the Mets went to Camden Yards. At the end of the interview he would start shaking along with the lemonade guy making it extra hokey and extra cringe worthy.

Way off-topic but,

Has anyone seen that wacky tricycle guy going up and down Newberry Street in Boston?

Last year, I was in a band with a guy who had, many years earlier, gone to Berklee. I think he graduated in 1999.

In 2004, we were on tour and we had a day off in Boston so we went shopping on Newberry Street. There was a guy there. Must've been 50 or 60 years old. Riding an adult sized tricycle with a 6ft high flexible orange safety flag sticking up and out of the seat. He would ride up and down the sidewalk and scream "HAAAAY-UP! HAAAY-UP" in a booming voice over and over and over. That's all he did the whole day we were there.

My guitar player freaked out! He said that, when he went to Berklee...that dude was there! Riding up and down Newberry...yelling the same stupid thing! I guess he never leaves that street.

Anyone else see that dude?!!

I'm just happy this isn't in the Entertainment section.

I heard he started out as the "Root Beer Shaking Guy" but that didn't work as well.
