I know that I for one listen to R&F on my mp3 player (thankes
steels) since they left NYC. I guess this would count as a podcast, so
I got to wondering what else is out there. Yes, there are a few other
terrestrial (and sattelite) shows that are currently available to
download, but there seems to be so much more. So I put it out there, do
any of you listen to podcasts and what do you listen to?

I
have heard that Adam Curry (of MTV) has a pretty good podcast
available, and the Dawn & Drew show is good too. I have not
listened to these yet since my daily AFRO takes most of my work day.
Can anyone tell about their podcasting experiences and make some
reccomendations?

AFRO forever....bring on channel 202

Additionally, I've been told that former R&F intern, Ogre, will start podcasting the non-music portion of his internet radio show. I believe an announcement of the details is forthcoming at RadioBBQ.

i just got it to work running windows 98 ...

i got a few shows from air americ: 'so what else is news' and 'revolution starts now' ... and a few shows that WNYC runs: leonard lopate, 'the treatment' and 'on the media' ...

the crappy thing is that the one application i can get to work limits me to five subscriptions, and i'm not too sure of any better feeds ...

This is pretty cool and you dont need an Ipod to do it, I was a big WNYC listener when i lived in NY which is where i found out about this stuff, I use ipodder which is pretty easy to use and has tons of stuff to listen to, I dont have a very long commute so i listen when i work out and there is only so much music i can listen to, I f any one know of any interseting podcasts please share the radio where i live is completly crap

The one good podcast i have found so far is the Return of the Screen savers for any one who was a fan of the old Techtv show with Leo Laporte and Patrick Norton, its bascily them doing the tech news from the show once a week for about 30 minutes

He said the show could be all request and the listeners would play their own songs.

To reopen this thread...

Now that
R&F are not on for a month, I am going to get back into the
podcasts I have been missing. I have been listening to Bibb & Yaz,
Keith and the Girl and the PK & J show. I also listen to a few Jam
Band related music shows as well.

If there are any other good
shows out there, let us all know. I check podcastalley.com pretty
reglarly and there is alot of crap out there. Who knows, maybe we could
be on to the next Glden Ticket winner! (Keith and the Girl and Biib
& Yaz are two shows that I can totally see on 202 for a weekend
spot)
