Hooray! Today the weather was nice enough to get me off my ass
and into the garage to get my bike up and running for the new
year. 250cc Ninja for me, not too big but big enough to get my
everyone I want to go. Just a quick 15 mile ride but it made me
happy to be back out there riding. Spotted two other bikes during
the ride. Not much yet but at least people are getting out there.

Who else out there rides? Anyone else been out this year yet?

And now a picture of me on my cute little bike:

just had a little scare with my bike. I left it a friend's house
while we changed the oil, and tonight I had my girlfriend drop me off
there to pick it up. Anyway, I went to check the tire pressure
before I took it out and when I put the guage on it pulled the stem a
little to the side, and all the sudden the my front tire started
loosing air. Looks to me like the rubber that holds the stem on
dry rotted. Luckily I caught it in the garage, but I scared
myself pretty good thinking about what could have happened to me had it
failed on the way home doing about 60 on route 299.

So just a heads up to all the riders out there, always check your tire pressure before you ride.

They have one of these at a shop near here. I've always liked the classic style. I don't ride, though. My mother made me promise never to ride one while she's alive. She's 73 and still kickin'.

2005 Triumph Bonneville

could start with them. They supply the bike and helmet for the
class. It's really a great way to learn if you're really

That's how I did it. There are
courses all over NJ that provide everything you need. Costs a few
$100 and all you need to do is pass the simple permit exam at any
MVC. The state also has courses that are free but fill up super
fast.. http://www.state.nj.us/mvc/mcsafe/mclocations.html Once you pass
the class you get the endorsement on your license and can just hold
onto it until you get a bike.
