This may have already been a topic, but I'm curious...does everyone remember the first Ron & Fez show they heard?

I remember I was flipping through radio stations and happened upon WNEW, and they had just announced the whole Temptation Island idea, and Ron and Fez were discussing it. I have a horrible memory, so I don't remember any details...but I continued to tune in for more almost every day until they left...

I remember someone (Rory?) doing a paradoy song of Billy Staples to the music of the Beatles' "All the Lonely People", transformed into "Bill the Lonely Staple". I think that was sometime in January of 2003.

i don't know the exact show but it was a .com show. Ron was talking about how the earth has a finite amount of water if you're in a drought somewhere else theres plenty of water.Fez's response in his screeching manor was "were drying up!".Not so funny being typed but of course hilarious from the radio.

I didn't hear their first show here in DC, but I caught them during their first week, early in 2000. WJFK used to play weird radio programs and music selections at night, so I had just turned in at about midnight out of habit and got hooked.

I live here in Seattle and I first heard them on an AM station here that played O&A for awhile before the station folded. I remember it was maybe a month or so before 9/11 that I actually caught the show. Anyway, they would play a shortened version of R&F's night show from WNEW at noon as a lead-in to O&A. I don't remember how I got into O&A though, but I know it's their fault I'm hooked on R&F today. I immediately fell in love with them.

They are a great team and hilariously funny as you all know.

I might still listen daily religiously *cough*. I mean, I might or might not, if you know what I mean. *wink* *wink*

I think it was a daytime show, didn't get into after hearing them maybe 4-5 times and now am a huge fan. Same with O&A, I couldn't get into them until maybe a month or so after they started on NEW.

After first hearing O & A when they first got Syndicated to Philly in July (?) 2001 I remember them always mentioning Ron and Fez. It wasn't until November of that year, I finally started driving around the woods in parts of Bucks County, PA trying to pick them up. I finally found a spot and would have to drive there a few nights a week, alone in a parking lot just so I could listen for a bit. Many bits and pieces but I can't remember exactly what.

A part of the reason for me moving to Central Jersey outside of Princeton in June of 2002 was twofold.

(1) I wanted to be closer to NYC for a possible Animation Job, which I wound up never getting anyway and

(2) so I could actually get WNEW and be able to listen to Ron and Fez all the way through every night. Eddie Trunk on Friday and Saturday was an extra added bonus. Those late night Friday shows when Anthony would just hang out until the wee hours and talk and talk and talk with whomever else was in studio (I remember Fez once or twice) was just some of the best radio I have ever heard.

The first full show I heard was after The Stalker Patty Wig Incident.

By mid-2003 I was sick of the area and just wanted to be back home. I am so glad not to be living in the shadow of New York anymore. It's nice to visit every now and again but just living that close was really stressful.

Besides, R & F are only on in DC now and I can't hear them anyway. Back to square one in a sense I guess.

My memory can be a rambling wasteland anymore.

I remember around the time I started listening but not the first show. It was the .com days and R&F were on late nights on WJFK. I'd usually catch them driving home from work around 1 in the morning. Dumpy was on the show then, and I remember one show going on about his stinky feet, and another one about favorite childhood cereals (that they've since repeated).
The show got more and more addictive to where now I HAVE to listen to all four hours everynight or else feel like I'm going through H withdrawl!

The first show I listened to I found after channel surfing for a bit. They were calling Al a "fag" and I naturally had to keep listening. At fist I thought Al was the "Ron" in Ron and Fez and I thought the "real" Ron was a third mic. Anyways, I remember the next day was when Al went on the date with Stalker Patti and Billy ambushed them with water balloons.

I didn't think the show'd stick after that first night, but little did I know the next day I'd be sitting in my room listening yet again.

First show, ever heard, the infamous AFRO Ron and Fez show with the
Paul O enema, the crying dominatrix, and Opie's famous words to Angel
Amy.

When you combine a winter break from college,
with multiple late nights spent playing Final Fantasy, Ron and Fez
become like coffee, or even illicit drugs. They are as addicting
as crack, and thus, oughta come with a warning, or at least a general
admonishment from the surgeon general, that, upon listening to Ron and
Fez, your life will never be the same, and, with a lil Ron Bennington
and Fez Whatley in your life everyday, you will live in total euphoric
bliss, gleefully listening to Fez talk on and on about old school
professional wrestling, while Ron busts in and gives witty insults to
his staff.

Long live this show.

It was when Ron got really upset at Cameron because Fez was a little quite. They then did 90 mins of Wresting talk while Ron ate pizza.

Serously it was about the time the first Spiderman Movie came out, they were on late nights on WJFK (the same slot The Hideout had when they where on after R&F) but I think it was on earlier on WNEW at the time. I remember listening to them talk about it on my home from watching the film.

I miss the fez-atorials too!!

I remember the first big ass night of fights, al dukes, joe poo (hated his voice, yet I can mimic him perfectly to this day), sweet melissa (oh how hot her voice is) and many more bits.

I would say I started listening a few months before Sept 11, 2001....since that day my radio was GLUED to WNEW... and how O and A had NO COMMERCIALS for like a week or so. It was the right thing to do, and pretty sweet for the listener.

...a pause in all the dick creme ads, and a break in horny-goat-weed solicitations... stacker 2 anyone?
