I remember people on the board saying "hey" from wherever they went. Well, this is the first time I went somwhere that I brought my laptop, soooooooooo...........hi.

I brought my wife here to see the Eagles. I know, I know, they are playing all over the N.Y. area next week. I got her tickets one night there too. But, I was able to score fifth row seats for face value which is only $125 Canadian (if I got them in N.Y., face would be $175 American, but I would have to blow six guys that work at ticket master.). I have not been here in 15 years, and boy has it got expensive. A case of Labbat's, two four packs of some Malt shit my wife wanted, and a three dollar bag of potato chips went for 53 fucking bucks! Got a sweet hotel room across the street from the Bell Centre for $165, not too bad. Will give you tools a recap of the show when I get back Tuesday night for anyone who gives a shit.

Later, Shucker.

Yo man! I love that city! Make sure to check out the prostitutes and the plethora of porn on St. Catherine. There is also a pretty neat metal/punk (if you're into it) club on the same street called Foufones Electroniques. One of the best bars I have ever been to. Pretty good record shops in town too off of St. Catherine. There is some pretty good 99 cent Pizza along that strip as well.
Also check out Chez Cora on Mont Royal for an amazing Breakfast and Lester's Deli on Bernard for a Smoked Meat sandwich. Smoked Meat is like a cross between corned beef and pastrami. They slather it with mustard and some good pickles and throw it on Rye. The Poutinne (Fries with Cheese Curds and Gravy) is pretty good too.
I loved Montreal when I went there and would love to one day live there. Toronto was ok but something about Montreal was just really neat. Too bad you can't catch a Canadiens game while you're there.

Thanks for the heads up Fluff. We are on Rue de la Montagne, about 400 feet South of St. Catherines. Saw the strip clubs last night, but my wife aint into it. I have been here twice before to see Met games with some friends, and had a BLAST in them. Got to love Canadian beer bro. My wife is sooo hyped up about this show, I may set a record (well, since we been married anyway) for hummers in two days. I guess now that I am getting older, she can fantasize I am Don Henley or some shit. Who cares though, got two yesterday, and for a first since we where dating, a wake up hummer, SWEET!

But then I would have to go to Philly Bulldogcake. Yuck. Hell, we are going with our kids next week to see them in the Coliseum. Besides getting AWSOME tickets, half the fun was going to a cool city, of which, Philly is not.

Just got back two hours ago.

First off, our tickets ROCKED! We where seven rows up (although they where row D, there was 3 other rows in front of A) dead even with the front of the stage. Only about 50 feet from the stage. The show started 40 minutes late due to some computer glitch, but they played from <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:time Hour="8" Minute="40">8:40</st1:time> till <st1:time Hour="11" Minute="30">11:30</st1:time> with only a 15 minute intermission. If you are the kind of person who likes "B" sides or likes to hear the group do an interpretation of there song, this is NOT the show for you. It's three hours of hits and nothing but hits done for the most part true to the album cut. They do play a lot of there solo songs. My favorites where Joe doing "funk 49" from the James Gang, and "life's been good". I also dug Don Henley's "Boys of summer". As for the groups songs, "Life in the fast lane" had me out of my seat from the opening riff. They did three encores. The first one opened with "hotel California", and the last one ended with the show stopper "Desperado". The guys are getting older, but sounded great. I am bringing my family to see them Wednesday at the Coliseum ($25 seats this time, can't foot the 175 X 5 + ticketmaster charges bill.

As far as Montreal goes, still the great city I remember. But let me tell you, bring lots of cash. Besides everything being expensive, the fucking 14.5% tax could choke a horse.
