<P>The other day, I was hungry out and about.&nbsp; I stopped at a gas station mart deal, and saw a bag of peanuts that were still in the shell.&nbsp; I hadn't had those in a long time, and something made me really want them.&nbsp; Got back in the car with them, and it was at this point that I discovered what poor judgement I had just exercised.&nbsp; Shelled peanuts are a very BAD CAR FOOD.&nbsp; You kinda need 2 hands to break open the shells without it getting all over the place.&nbsp; Then there's that red stuff around the peanut to remove and try to get out the window, all the while you're trying to save the actual peanut to eat.&nbsp; What a bad idea.</P>
<P>Now on the other hand, good car foods are things like burgers without too much kethup or the like on them.&nbsp; Stuff you can eat that won't get your hands dirty, have little casing or wrapper, and won't end up on your shirt and seatbelt.</P>
<P>Anyone got any good or bad things to add here?</P>

I like to eat sun flower seeds while I am driving. I just keep a cup in the car to spit the husks into.

I've actually found that sunflower seed are a good driving food, but only during warmer weather when you can leave a window open to throw the seed casings out of.

OK, my original idea is getting mired in jokes here.&nbsp; Hows about we just stick with foods people have found are GOOD to eat while driving?&nbsp; Because we could sit here all day with the "Soup is bad, open face sandwiches are bad, chili is bad" kind of jokes and get nowhere.
