Just read this on CHUD. Jeez Christ, Can't GL leave well enough alone?!

LUKE SKYWALKER IN YOUR LAP?

George Lucas may need help. I don't really understand what's happening with him anymore, to be honest. He's seemingly gone over the edge with his latest announcement.

See, we all knew that Lucas wouldn't leave the Star Wars films alone. We all knew he would tinker with them. We all knew there were more editions coming.

But could any of us have guessed he was going to go back and make them all... 3D?

Seriously.

While appearing at ShoWest, Lucas said that he would go and 3D up all 6 Star Wars films, starting with the original A New Hope in 2007 to celebrate the film's 30th anniversary. He would then release one new 3D Star Wars film per year. And who knows what other monkeying will be done while he's in there.

So much for small movies. So much for art films. It's all about the gadgets for George - he doesn't even want to go and make NEW films in 3D. He's going to just keep playing in this same sandbox forever.

Actually, if those were the only changes he made to the film, I would be for it. If Han shoots first, but the blast comes right at you, that would be cool with me!

I won't believe it until we actually see Lucas say this. I have seen him recently say once this is done he wants to do smaller films that no one will want to see (That's how he put it)

He could pull a Kevin Smith* and do one movie that is kinda similar to Star Wars (something set in space with Ewan McGreggor and a little girl that he has to take care of since his wife died, and George Carlin tells Ewan that he doesn't want to die alone in some cantina at the end of the movie) and then go right back and announce he doing Episodes VII-IX

*If you don't get my reference, Kevin smith did 5 movies centered around Red Bank, NJ with a number of the same Characters and Actors (Jay and Silent Bob, Jason Lee, Ben Affleck, Dante Hicks and several other of the Hicks Family members played by the same guy) then announced he's going to do something totally different: A movie called "<b>Jersey</b> Girl" staring Ben Affleck. Then announces he's doing a live action sequel to Clerks (Right now it's called "The Passion of the Clerks") and I'm sure he'll end up doing that sequel to Mallrats that he's been joking about "Mallrats II: Die Hard in a Mall"
