So for most of last Fall and Winter I was very meal with most of what I was listening to. It wasn't until seeing Rise Against back in January, I dusted off some hardcore that I had not listened to in a while. Sure, there is some that I always have in my memory (Sick of It All, H2O, Refused) but there were some titles I grabbed for my Central PA trips over the last 2 days that I had not listened to in quite some time. Even in some cases where I am feeling a certain genre I will still pick up the new releases from bands I like even though my heart may not be all the way into the album. For instance recently I haven't really digested the new Judas Priest, High on Fire and Black Label Society cause I have been refreshing my hardcore and punk accumen.

So go ahead and find something in your respective CD/Record/8-Track collections you haven't listened to in a while. It may have some dust on it, don't be scared. Blow it off, rock out with your cocks out and then share it with the rest of us.

Maybe this thread can pop up every now and again and someone can get turned onto an album maybe they never heard upon a really good write-up review recommendation.

If you feel so inclined.:p

I pulled out:

*7Seconds: The Crew
*Youth of Today: Break Down the Walls
*Hands Tied
*Skar Head: Drugs, Money, Sex
*Maximum Penalty: Independent
*The Lawrence Arms: Apathy and Exhaustion (I forgot how good an album this was)
*StretchArmStrong: Engage (this I didn't really listen to when I got it but I was feeling it a bit more today and DAMN was this a good one. Seeing them a month or so ago helped as well)

Whoever thought Tool and A Perfect Circle were a good idea should be shot.

I just did that to an extent filling my iPod with music.

On the flip side of this discussion, I also found out why a couple of those CD's have dust on them.
