The new Kirstie Alley show debuted tonight on "Showtime" (right after a screening of "Super Size Me."). Showtime even unscrambled their channels to let as many people see it, not to mention Kirstie's heavy promotion, and all of the commercials - they really seem to think they have their own "Curb."

So...did anyone see it? Is it any good? I thought I'd give it a shot, but I missed it when it ran at 10 & 11. Showtime 2 is rerunning at at 1am so I might throw a tape in.

I just wonder how long they can stretch out the one joke that Kirstie is fat and she gets it.

Saw the show late last night and had to turn it off - not very funny. The Jenny Craig commercials are funnier than the show. Even John Travolta on there playing a stuck up version of himself, talking about the "Woo" film he's going to do, didn't really save it - although I was amused that she rambled on with him about "having jets" if she had married him.

Yeah, she gets credit for being brave for doing this, but a really brave thing would have been also to have been more open about her world and poke some fun at her religion too. Oh, and to be funny while at it.
