Has anyone had their cellphone set off those anti--theft detectors in stores? this started with me since Christmas (I've had the phone since last April), and for some reason my phone sets these things off. It's annoying as hell, and the morons that do security at some stores aren't convinced that it's my phone and have me empty my pockets to prove I'm not stealing anything from the store!!!
anyone know what I could do to stop this?

Let them "scan" your phoen with whatever they use to deactivate their security tags.
And no, it doesn't "wipe" things like phones or credit cards. It just neutralizes the frequency when sent to the store's sensors only.

when we are rehearsing and it's a quiet time you begin to hear some signaling/frequencies through the PA right before someone gets a ring on their cellphone
