View Full Version : New South Park Episodes Begin March 9th!!

I believe its a total of 8 new episodes...I cannot fuckin wait... (http://www.comedycentral.com/tv_shows/southpark/election/index.jhtml?_requestid=152115)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v296/badorties/those%20other%20sigs/sig001WS.jpg
I got an idea, an idea so smart my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about.
Better site for South Park News. (http://www.southparkstudios.com/)
Last season, Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman took on everything from aliens and steroids to Mel Gibson and Paris Hilton. In the ninth season, one of the citizens of South Park undergoes a sex change operation, Butters sees dead people and Cartman takes on his lifelong enemies.hippies!
Bolded because Butters episodes rule the school.
Don't take it as gospel, though. They went as far as to air commercials for the return of Lemmiwinks last season and that may never air. Everything is subject to change with this show right up to the day of air.

I swear to God on high that South Park is the only show in history to consistently get better every single season. Every time, I go into it thinking, "this can't be better than last season," and then it totally kicks ass. I love those guys.

It's like half of me wants to watch to see if I can still stomach the show and then the other half is still reminded about how horribly dreadful the 5th Season was and how the toilet humor just kept on and on and on.

I saw most of last week's episode, but fell asleep near the end and really don't care how it ended.
Last night's was amusing and all, but it doesn't feel like they were hitting on all cylinders.

I think the topic just hit kind of close to home, cause my town is a hippie town. I'm so sick of hearing people talk exactly like this, changing the world and such, and how I'm a bad person cause I work for a company. Every weekend it's the same full of shit college kids smoking pot on the back porch of the bar, never doing anything except smoking, drinking, grooving and digging.

Sorry, didn't see the episode yet. Was this a refrence to something they said or just a joke involving me?
For the record, I kinda like hippies. They're easy going, usually like some good 70's rock classics and don't get stressed about anything. So you just don't depend on the to do anything important and you're good to go.

I disagree. Last night's Gay Marriage episode was very weak. The whole time I was saying to myself, "why did they do that when this could've been funnier." or "when is the big gutbuster going to come" (although Token getting the broken egg was best joke of the night). I find this happening every week with The Simpsons. I'm not saying I could write a funnier show but, a good show won't even spur you to think that way. It'll just leave you laughing. The Simpsons haven't done that for a couple of years. South Park still has it (Two Days before the Day after Tomorrow was F'ing hilarious) but I actually find myself cringing everytime I hear about The Simpsons being picked up for another Season.
Great ideas often receive violent opposition from mediocre minds.

This week's show was decent, but they really drove that closet bit into the ground and the episode itself was so similar to the Mormon episode. But the R Kelly thing had me on the floor everytime.
Shamu episode was kinda eh...this whole season has been a downer for me. I mean, don't get me wrong, it had its moments (realistic caricatures of the boys, dead whale on the moon) but overall I felt it lacked the social insight of the last couple of seasons.

I mean here's a perfect opportunity to nail PETA and other extreme animal groups but they totally missed it. Prior to airing this episode, Comedy Central had "Ladder to Heaven" which in my opinion was brilliant, not for its satirizing of the arms race and religious symbolism, but the commercialization of the tragedy of 9/11, which for someone who worked in front of the WTC repair site for a year struck home bigtime. I don't think a day went by where some slanty eyed dog eater wasn't giving tours or selling post cards/photos/t-shirts "commemorizing" the attack.
