My friend and I came up with an idea to sell something at various Sporting Events. Do you need some sort of permit? Is it hard to get? expensive? Or are those guys just selling T-Shirts illegally? What's the deal. Help a buddy out.

actally, i know some people that own a trailer and run a silk screening shop out of it. the tour a convention circuit and make them up their on the spot.
it isn't legal, but i have been told that if you are issued a cease and decist order to contact the big wigs at corporate.
considering how much you'll probably make vs prosecuting you, they will probably let you get away with it.
apparently it's big in the nascar circuit and allowed. but i wouldn't plan on putting your hands in mr steinbrenner's pocket.

What about selling a sign?
It wouldn't contain any teams emblem or anything more like a generic saying such as "Hit it Here" That's not at all what it would be just wondering where the line is drawn.

I think that the sign would be a great idea unless you were attending a nascar event and then the sign wouldn't make that much sense really.........maybe you could change it to "park it here" or something......I don't know.......this is a tough one....... tell you what, sticky- let me mull this one over for a few days and get back to you..... mulling's the key....

Not for anything, but I hate those guys who hang out in the venue parking lots selling thos eknock off tshirts of whichever band is playing... They're so annoying and they never have my size.. They have sizes for obese people XX-Large and bigger... Thays why maybe I hate them..
And did you ever notice that its mostly black guys? I remember going to see Metallica & Manson and they were there amongst all the teenage white kids.. What a mix..

You'd make more money selling Red Sox tickets.

If you sell on the grounds, I believe it is illegal because you're doing it on private property.

How bout if you sell it from your car window in the street or parking lot?

the law has to do with distance from the arena...like scaping tickets within 1500 feet of MSG or something....it doesn't have anything to do with if you are in your car or not.
