Time Travel movie for the 60s Title Needed

Does anyone remember a movie where this group of boys visit a musuem. Then they're in a boat they go under a bridge or into a waterway tunnel--and suddenly they are traveling back through pre-historic times.

I think it was Italian made and I remember seeing it in the movies in the 1960s of maybe the late 1950s

It's a semi-recent video; the genre might be techno. I remember one scene where the woman meets her boyfriend/lover in a bar and then the authorities barge in and start roughing them up. She's taken back to headquarters where they use cerebral implants to tap/record her memory and BINGO that's the day's events are the next release of the video game which you see roll off an assemble line. Then the woman is asleep in bed as if this never happened until this scenario plays itself out again.
