Since when is the Paris sex tape considered HARDCORE...OK OK i know this is old but i stumbled on a site that was advertising Rick SOloman's sex tape as HARDCORE ACTION...i would not classify any of that video as hard core...

to me hardcore is ass thumping, intense, rough sex type of action

what constitutes a porno to be considered as "HARDCORE"?

If the film shows penetration, it's technically a "hardcore" pornographic film.

Anything else is just extra.

well i am not an avid porno watcher nor a conisouir(sp) so i do not know much about it ...and all i have seen is not much.... i know that this thread was random but it did pop in my mind for THAT to be considered HARDCORE

"XXX" is meaningless as a rating.

The only "official" rating that could apply to porn is "X". "XXX" was just created by sleaze merchants in the 70's to attract people into watching their films under the idea that their flicks were even more dirty than the "X" films.

The porn companies themselves typically opt to create "cable versions" of their films, since most cable companies are still antsy about showing the full monty on their cable systems, given the chance of the signal accidentally switching on somewhere it shouldn't be and "community standards" being violated.

As long as genitals and especially penetration isn't shown, they can bypass a lot of potential "indecency violations."

They'll show the naughty bits...but not the parts actually engaged in graphic sexual activity, and definitely no money shot.

Well, depends on the cable company. But most don't.

Playboy channel does show penis. And in the late evenings they show movies with full penetration, but no anal and no cum shots.

Part of the cable censoring is a "community standards" thing, as said above, but another reason is movie sales. Someone associated with the industry once told me that you will never see cum shots on cable because they want to use that as a draw to get you to buy the dvd.
