i picked up the books on Mojo's recomendation and they were an awesome read. the pics are great. its such a great way to tell a story. some times you are just looking at the pic for 5 minutes to see all the details and facial expressions.

That's easy enough to fix. That is a weak reason not to cast someone. Hair can be easily changed, or a wig can be used.

EVERYONE in lord of the rings had a wig on. Except the Hobbit kids at the beginning of the 1st one.
