there's an old thread about cover songs that are done, and with rufus wainwright's and fiona apple's versions, a contrived all-start version is kinda lame ...

i might have been cooler if each of those artists recorded it, velvet revolver and green day could've added something new ...

it was also nice to see brian wilson up on stage ... i know he's spaced and a shell of his former self, but to kinda put it behind him, and perform like that was quite endearing ...

did they ever find the member of his 'smile' band that was missing after the tsunami ...?

Eccccchhhh!! I just heard it on O&A, the fact that they had to change the lyrics at the end to suit the situation they were signing about is the very reason I don't watch these corporate driven shows which are complete wastes of time. I'm glad I missed the show.
