One of the more seminal films to come out of the late sixties. I was totally engrossed in this movie from the first minute.
It struck a primal chord in my soul that still vibrates till this day. The absolute hedonism and primitivism that is portayed here is chilling.

A must see.

While ACO is my personal favorite film, I can definitely see how GF1 would be number one. it's in my top 10 definitely. The final few minutes might be the only time i ever got chills from a movie.

I'm with Moe. It was a damn good movie, one of the best by Kubrick and an all-around classic, BUT the rehab portions of the film did kind of drag.

But there was plenty of violence and rape to make me happy!

And I find the dialogue a little hard to follow every now and then. With all that weird British slang and other terms, I somtimes get lost. But then they lay the SMACKDOWN on a bumb, and I feel better.

i cant believe there are still ppl who havent seen this movie! well, i reccomend it highly. i read the book before the movie, it isnt as hard to read as ppl make it out to be , most copies now have a dictionary in the back but i reccomend acually using your brain to read it without cheating

it is definitely a movie you have to watch before you read the book. i love alex even though he was a rapist and a murderer, he is an interesting character.
