I'm just sick of this show because it's so fucking formulaic, and has been since the first series.

First half hour is the case. Every week, it looks like it won't be solved, and then without fail, one of the detectives magically finds the miracle clue/evidence/witness that brings in the suspect(s) just in the nick of time. Then you have the trial half, and 9 times out of 10 it's whatsisface making some impassioned speech that brings him near tears and ties into whatever social issue of the day has been "ripped from the headlines."

And too damn many of those shows are "ripped from the headlines!" That's the drama equivalent of "a very special episode" when it comes to sitcoms.

Fuck "Law & Order." In ANY form. It sucks.

no i agree....its like the csi's....

im getting kind of sick of law & order...SVU is just comical at this point...Criminal Intent wears on me...the flagship series is pretty much dead in the water at this point with Farina...

my friend and I are waiting on Law & Order: Velociraptor unit....

I always remember in an interview (the guy was a former Chicago cop/detective) he said the best cops shows are the ones that can really play up the humor between the officers in the middle of all the drama. Well, all the L&O order shows have been the most humorless sacks of dick on TV.

I don't really watch any of the Law & Order's but I find it interesting how seemingly every one has pulled from the OZ pool of actors. The one guy on SVU, Christopher Meloni and the one guy on last night on TRJ who was Kirk Acevedo. I've noticed a lot of guest spots too fromt he former OZ cast.

Reminds me how much I've missed that show.

speaking of "very special episodes"... Jerry Orbach's final performance ever will be on episode 2 of law and order tbj tonight at 10.

after, of course, law and order svu at 9.

Law and order was best in it's original form, whatever season(s) had orbach, noth, hennesy and waterston.
