Anyone know where I can get the soundtracks for the Silent Hill games?

A good friend of mine, Grim Sanity, who has a cable modem and many ways to get shit got me the Silent Hill 4 soundtrack, and it's actually great. I listen to it on my iPod constantly.

If anyone out there knows a place I can get this music, I'd appreciate it. PM, E-mail or IM me with info it you'd rather not have your sources posted in here.

Here you go Moe. (http://www.gamemusic.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/GMOStore.woa/wo/4.0.9.1)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes Video Game Music. This site is the only one you'll ever need for it.

DUH. I should have looked a bit closer before I posted the link. Sorry. I'll try looking elsewhere.

The problem with most video game soundtracks is that they're only released in Japan. I have several that I used to pick up at an import shop years ago. You can try any shop online (like Anime Nation) that carries anime and/or japanese toy imports to see if they carry vgm cds.

I have the NIN soundtrack to Quake. I haven't played it in a while (Game or Music) but maybe I'll pull it out.

Wow, thanks HBox. I just sent the order for both those CD's. It was a little shady, but I mean I got a confirmation E-mail from them and they're part of Yahoo it seems. That's about as much as I can ask for buying from alternate vendors off Amazon or Ebay, so I'm not too worried.

And that is actually fucking awesome, because finding the 1st Silent Hill soundtrack was getting REALLY hard. I'm only sorry they don't have Silent Hill 3 on there. Or maybe they do. I haven't looked around that site yet. If they have a Cowboy Bebop soundtrack, it's mine as well.

Just in case anyone else on
the board is a fan of video game music, the soundtracks to the Final
Fantasy videogames are now available for sale on iTunes. As of me
writing this post, there is a link on the Music Store front page. The
prices are very low too. The Final Fantasy 7, 8, 9 and 10 soundtracks
are each $24.99, but that's for 4 CDs worth of music and it could cost
you upwards of $40 to buy the CDs from import shops. There are other
collections too for $10, and the soundtrack to the original is only $6,
which actually might be a bit high considering it's music from an NES
game.

Anyway, if you are a fan I'd suggest you'd go and buy some.
If these succeed there might be hope for more game music showing
up.

I own some of the FF cds and I really recommend the piano ones. They just sound so amazing.

On a similar note, anyone hitting the Dear Friends concerts? I think it's in CT on the 20th.

How's this for geeking out? I'm heading to the More Friends concert in LA on Monday in which Nobuo Uematsu will be performing FF music along with his rock band. Of course, that's on top of all the orchestrated music and an operatic version of the opera in FF VI.
