Dude, this show RAWKED!!!

Remember this creepy show hosted by Lenoard Nimoy? It dealt with supernatural topic and lots of very interesting things. Full on 70's production. Soem bad editing.

Still one of the greatest shows of that kind.

Amen. Nimoy's voice added such heft to any topic, and the supernatural subjects were facinating, especially since I was a kid at the time. I wonder if it holds up, now that I'm a rational, science super genius type. This is a question for Mike the Teacher, who hasn't been around in a while.

I want them to bring it to DVD. I loved that show.

On a side note, anyone remember, "When Havoc Struck"?

The creepy synth music they used made this show terrifying for me as a kid.

When they would show Nimoy, he would always be wearing something like a checkered sports jacket with a black turtleneck, and he had HUGE mutton chop-sideburns.

The guys behind the "Blair Witch Project" did a parody of "In Search Of..." about the Blair Witch as part of the media blitz for their movie, and it was spot-on. Actually a thousand times better and creepier than the movie itself.

"Since the world began, we have never exterminated. We probably shall never exterminate as much as one single insect species. If there was ever an example of an insect we cannot destroy, the fire ant is it."

In Search of Fire Ants ???? I guess by the third or fourth season when they used up the Loch Ness Monster, Bigfoot, Amelia Aerhart, etc... the pickings got pretty slim.

Nevertheless, I loved this show too. I wish they'd repeat it somewhere just so I can see Spock in more funky 70's clothes.

For a while it was on the History Channel in the afternoons.

I remember when the show originally aired. The episode about the killer bees making their way from South America to North America freaked me out.

I also liked the one about that guy that made that stone house in Florida with no tools.

A Skidmark/canofsoup15 production.

Mojo, it was the 70's! So did Bob Newhart! Everybody dressed like that!

The mutton chops is a Jewish/Vulcan thing.

I only remember the Bimini one. Didn't that involve Hemmingway somehow? My memory is fuzzy on that one.

But, yeah. Good show.

Jimmy Fallon kissing Drew Barrymore -- on the field, on live TV -- right after the Red Sox won their first World Series in 86 years. In fact, they were shown in a closeup within 60 seconds of the final out. And every Red Sox fan is determined to pretend that this never happened, and that it didn't taint the moment even a little bit ... so it wasn't a huge deal.
