For the last week Hot 97 has been running a hideously unfunny and offensive skit named "Tsunami Song," that ridicules the victims of the Tsunami as "ch*nks" whose children will now be sold into child slavery. It's being played on the station's morning show, hosted by Miss Jones.

1. That wasn't funny. At all. And it was horribly done. It seemed more concerned with being cruel than funny.

2. What a fucking cunt that black bitch is. She has a problem with the Asian chick not wanting to be involved or associated with the song? WTF? Is it a coincidence that they use the term "Africans" but when they refer to the Asians they are "chinks" and "chinamen?" And then you are surprised when an Asian co-worker wants nothing to do with it? Stupid fucking racist cunt.

A kid named Gerry used to work with me at my job, and he loved Hip hop and rap. So we'd listen to HOT 97 a lot in the garage.

HOT 97 has to be one of the WORST radio stations on the radio dial here in the greater NYC listening area. They play the SAME 4 FUCKING SONGS ALL FUCKING DAY. If I ever hear that New York song by Ja Rule and the rest of those douche bags again, I think I'll blow up HOT 97's transmitter. The station just plays whatever is on the top of the Hip Hop charts continuously, with the retarded banter of their lackluster DJ's in between. If I remember correctly, they throw you an Old School bone at lunch. Ooooh, thanks guys. Make sure to get right back to that 4 song playlist again though, I really miss those songs.

On another note, I cannot believe that the same people who would jump on anyone even hinting at racism towards blacks would make a song using racist terms towards Asian people. And to make a joke about an event that has killed hundreds of thousands of people is terrible.

To be honest, I might laugh at ANYTHING, no matter how horrible it is, but like HBOX said, this was just poorly done. They did seem more concerned about being cruel than cleverly funny by reading those few lines of their stupid song.

I hope they all die.

Wow, I was just reacting to the written lines, but then the MP3 booster linked to finally downloaded over my shitty 56K modem. Again, wow.

1st this stupid bitch yells at that news lady for daring to question her and her horrible song, and then the song is just the WORST thing I've ever heard. I've heard better production from people with 4 tracks in their basement, doing all the instruments, and not even knowing how to edit in a drum machine later. And these fucking dickweeds have a whole professional radio studio to use, what was their excuse?

Oh my god I just lstened to that and I was horrified. That was disgusting. And to make fun and chastize her co-worker (who is asian) for openly not wanting part of this and trying to turn her into a 'drama queen'. Well that is disgusting.

After hearing a clip from your Tsunami song I was sickened to hear you actually making fun of people who had no chance of survival in such a tragedy. It was not like these individuals had a choice to 'sink or swim'. Where your morning staff gets off on not only calling them 'china men' but also laughing at the fact that some of these people had to watch there loved ones die before their eyes. That is truly classless. I think it is appalling that you hide behind the cloak of decency with a Tsunami victim relief on your web site but allow these semi-intelligent people to broadcast such tactless humor.
It was slanderous and just unfunny. Also to some extent it was racist against people who live in that region of the planet.
If you think that song was so damn funny then I challenge you to go there and see the destruction first hand and then see if you have the balls to make such a song up again.

I applaud Miss Info's choice to not be part of that and I dare say that Miss Jones needs a lesson in humanity. For her to chastise her co-worker for standing up for her beliefs and trying to make Miss Info into some drama queen when she has valid points to make....I think Miss Jones is trying to become some 5th rate Opie and Anthony or Howard Stern.
Miss Jones stick to what you know...Hip Hop...leave the comedy to people who know what timing means.
I pity you and your attitude. I hope someday you realize how wrong you were for what you did on the air as well as for playing that song with victims still be counted. Well yea, I think that was obvious. But what do they hope to gain by doing this? I mean Stern was great at publicity stunts back before he turned into a parody of himself. But he'd say something about Kathy Lee or have the homeless on and people would get talking. You'd want to hear what he had to say next was the famous quote from his movie I believe.

All I can see the Tsunami song doing is making people who already listened to her sick and push them away. Who is gonna say "I don't really like Hip Hop, but I mean I HAD to start listening to Miss Jones to hear who she tastelessly bashes next!"

He was. He was producing for Preston and Steve at Y-100 in Philly. He started at Hot 97 fairly recently, I think about a month-or-so before O&A announced they were going to XM.

Critics, who say it really doesn't matter which specific voices are heard, held a rally outside WQHT (97.1 FM) Friday to demand the dismissal of the team. The song's ethnic slurs and jokes about tsunami victims have also led several advertisers to temporarily pull their spots.

The station said Friday that while the team is suspended, their salaries will all be donated to tsunami relief efforts.

Miss Jones has apologized for "my poor decision to go along with playing" the song, suggesting she wasn't involved in its creation, and several sources inside WQHT say she and fellow team member Todd Lynn were not. The song was written, they say, by morning show producer Rick Delgado, who used to produce Opie and Anthony on WNEW. The three voices on the parody, they say, are Delgado, DJ Envy and a female production assistant who reportedly was at first reluctant to participate.

It's not the same as O&A. Trust me, if there was a group that powerful and organized going after THESE schmucks, they'd be gone as well.

Nobody would call the station racist over a stunt like this if the jocks got fired. They're simply not fired because it's not getting the attention and focus of what O&A did. Without that, all it is at this point is free advertising for the station.
