oh good lord..."King of All Media" was a joke people take too seriously...but that said, Stern had popular television shows, the highest rated payperview, a top rated radio show, a movie and a soundtrack that was #1 (for at least one week), his Letterman and Leno appearances are always top rated, magazines he's on always outpace other issues, and he's making more money than most celebs, etc...yeah, there's a lot of self-promoted hype there, but it's for a reason...doesn't mean he's the best, just means he's the biggest...

Lately I just haven't been able to listen to O&A. I just can't take it. Yesterday they were talking about how we should throw out the Geneva Convention and shit, I am just sick of them. What really gets me is all the talk about how well their new show is doing, and how great the FM gig is for them. Here is my take, I don't care if they are doing better. I have no vested interest in their success. All I need from them is to be entertained from about 8:30-9:00 in the morning. With the new format I am not. I am listening to comercials and they cut out at about 8:55 so they can go to XM. So I am paying the same for my XM as before but getting less show. And I am supposed to be happy there are sticking it to the guys that pissed on them before. Like I said, I could care less about their own personal success, all they are to me is guys on the radio that make my drive a little better, and lately they haven't.Also, why is it the replay matches up so the same part of the show is playing when I drove home thatw as when I drove to work.Just my 2 cents

And I'm really not trying to spin this, BUT... all CBS Radio cares about for Free-FM is one important demographic - Men 18-54.  (Or 25-54).  That's who the station is marketed to.  The 12+ number (which is the only number that Arbitron release to the public) doesn't mean a lot.  WFAN has never been a #1 overall station, but it's always done great in two things - demos and time spent listening.  That's why they bill so high... the overall ratings may not be great, but the people who do listen to the Fan listen for very long periods of time.TSL is another key fact that never gets released.  Sure, other stations may have higher ratings, but how long are people listening?  Do you ever hear people say, "oh man, I have to stay tuned to Lionel or Kurtis and Kuby to see what happens next!!" It only really happens with O&A, Stern, etc.

That and do the really need security now? Nobody is going to do anything to them. It's not like anyone can walk into the Sirius/XM Studios without going through the building security. He got canned when the realized his job would become useless over at the new building. Kenny is just a glorified personal assistant, I had a friend that was an intern a year or so ago and he said most of the time all Kenny did was try and get involved with bossing around the internes because he has absolutely nothing else to do.

A park employee started closing the umbrellas, saying they are only for sun, not rain. As opie and the others moved from umbrella to umbrella, opie verbally and somewhat physically confronted the park person, while the others meekly accepted their fate.

Yeah, thats what I was thinking. I worked at a Starbucks with an outdoor patio for many years, and people would always bitch when it would start to rain and we'd put down the umbrellas. They get moldy, they're heavier and messier to put away if they get soaked, and keeping them dry will help extend their lives. Still, people see an umbrella and think its there to keep them dry. Opie is a fucking little bitch sometimes.

Was the show live today. I'm surprised they are not on vacation. They also didn't get the whole week off for Thanksgiving. I figured that they got Holiday weeks off like Hoo Hoo.

It probably has a lot to do with Christmas being on a Saturday this year. If Christmas was on Wednesday or Thursday they would have probably had the whole week off just like they have had in the past when a holiday falls early in the week.
