Hi, This is late (Just got around to watch DeNiro's second appearance on SNL a few weeks ago.)

What's with Kermit being on SNL? He's been on at least 3-4 times in the past year or so. Other Muppets sang the Christmas song with Sanz on this last show (since Fallon, Morgan and Kattan left the show)

The Muppets used to be on a lot during the show's first season.

Maybe it's a callback to that?

i havent watched the show a lot but i did see the DeNiro show and thought it was pretty odd. i mean, here you have robert f'n deniro and the most creative, funny thing you could come up with is a duet with kermit the frog. i know the show has its ups and downs but it seems like the show is morphing into mad tv with its jokesy, really unfunny, kind of humor. why does lourne keep choosing people who are so unfunny. in the snl book lourne said he chooses people who "have original thought" that might have been true in the begining but now i think he chooses people who 12 year old girls would like. examples; jimmy fallon, seth myers; tina fey...i dont find these people funny in the least

The christmas song was on late last night w/ Simon from Americal Idol coming up on stage to join Sanz Kattan Fallon and the black guy.

Funny shit. Horatio Sanz can make me laugh during a funeral. Funnny fat fuck.

I saw the muppet thing and I orginally thought, what the f...

but guys think about it...

now when they do an anti Bush thing in another bit...

the muppets could be used to distract as in how can one be anti-muppet (well except when Fozzy ran with the Black Panthers in the 70s, but we don't like to talk about that...)...i think thats clever...

One of the dudes does a Kermit voice, so I suppose that's why.

I thought Jim Henson did his voice and then his son took over when he died. ;)

I do remember one of them doing a fake kermit bit with the human guest stepping on his feet and kermit cursing, but that was a fake kermit, that looked fake compared to the Deniro Kermit

Is the muppet show still on?
