My man skull is enlisting and ready to fight for us, what more could we do. I think I'm too old for this, this gives you peeps an idea of how old I am. If I could I would . But, do I have the bod for it? No dout! Good Luck on this THREAD challenge.=)

Skullcrush is enlisting? No wonder I haven't seen him on the board lately. Tell him he is sorely missed, and give him all my best.
Also give him my deepest thanks. I think joining the military during a time of war or impending war demonstrates just how much one love's their country.
You are another one of the good one's, skull. Godspeed!
I am too old also, and certainly DON'T have the bod for it! But if I was young enough and in shape enough, I would go in a heartbeat. There is nothing on the face of this earth that I hold dearer than freedom, and I would do whatever it took to ensure that freedom for myself and as many other people of the world as possible.

I have been involved in the Military since 1995
I am an Army First Lieutenant. Infantry
I have been on active duty, but I am now in the National Guard.
I am Ranger, Airborne, and Air Assault qualified.
Marines are by nature Infantrymen first, but they have all of the support personel that are needed to man the Corps.
Marines are extremely disciplined and I thing Skull has made a good choice.
Do you have any idea what his "job" (mos specialty) will be?
I have been wondering what he is up to.
Female soldiers can perform in non combat arms positions. There are many jobs that you could perform.
OK - well email me if you really want to get into the details!
You are a true Patriot...I can feel it!

Skull.
Good luck, man. God's speed.
I'm a little to old myself but I did my time is the USCG about a hundred years ago. I was a ASM1 (Air survivalman first class)-aircrew. Had a GREAT time in the service and did and saw things that most people never will.
You'll be fine in the Corps. Best bunch of people in the world.
Again, good luck.

SKULLCRUSH - I haven't replied to this thread because I wanted to hear what was going on straight from the horses mouth.
It's wise to take the time, as you're doing to finish studying and to be with your loved ones.
Being apart is hard, no question about it, but if the relationship is strong, it will make the reunions that much sweeter.
What is an asvab?

Skullcrush, you're gonna be around 'til the end of February? That's some of the best news I've heard in a while! And whatever you decide to do, as long as you know in your heart it is the right thing, you will have the love and support of all of those close to you.
