I dont know if this has been discussed before, but...

I got a chance to see these guys for the first time tonight. Not funny. In fact am I that much of a northeast liberal that I was offended by these Ham-n-eggers??

God I think I had one chuckle and hearing that one jack of all asses Larry White say the word 'daddy', made me think of what George Carlin said about beating to death who refered to their father as 'daddy'. Oyyy Gevalt. And some of their material was totally stolen from Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor. Even creepier was watching the audience's reaction especially to their bashing of Chinese people. Just cause a country is communist, it doesnt neccessarily mean all people FROM that said country are evil. Henceforth their gratuous use of China in jokes in racist. But what else would I expect of shit kickers...levity?? Of course not.

I'm not a big fan of the blue collar comedy tour either. Though I do find Bill Engvall pretty funny. Definitely way funnier than most southern comics.

I find a lot of their performances very funny, although I have seen the specials rather than the tv shows. Particularly things drawn from their personal and family lives. I've heard far more racist comments about asians on Def Comedy Jam and BET's comedy shows, and the audience reaction to it was much stronger and affirmative. Perhaps you've never seen those, or the accent offends you.

I'm rather surprised they put the show on Thursdays up against Smackdown. Sure, you might want to go after the same demographic (assuming programming executives think the same people would watch both), but I'd figure it would work better to put it on another night where it could pull from the same audience rather than split it.
