i know i'm late on this one but i just caught most of this movie last week. i have to say one of the best movies i've seen in some time. especially when i asked for a DVD for Xmas for a movie made in 1956.

when i watched the scene towards the end of the movie where Charlize is crying as she knelt besides Ricci the first thought that came to mind was that she deserves an academy award. i've never believed in a character as much as her when she cried in that scene. she made you feel the emotional anguish.

i was delighted to see she won an acadamey award... powerful stuff

did you see it and what did you think? did you feel sorry for the woman she portrayed?

Dogtown & Z Boys was great. The same director also made Riding Giants, about big wave surfing. Also a great film.

I havent seen Monster yet...
