Obtaining a PBA card

I am thinking of donating to my county's PBA so I can get a PBA card/sticker. I use to send them a donation in a Christmas card and they would send me a card a few stickers. But the last time I tried that approach, they sent me a "thank you" letter with no card or sticker and I was kind of upset by that! But I happen to think its a good cause anyway and would likely donate without the benefit of the card, but I really want the card and the sticker now! Is there a better way to make sure you get the card? I appreciate any suggestions!

I've got a stack of LBA cards from my father. A NYPD detective I helped out last week game me a PBA. I't funny, I thwould have thought they's have a DBA card or something...

I've never known them to get someone out of a ticket, since so many people have them.

I had the sticker on my old car and I had the card next to my license (which is also a CDL licence) and I have always been let go with a warning. Maybe I have been lucky, I dont know. I dont really get pulled over all that often, but in the few occasions when I did get pulled over and the cop asked about either the sticker or the card, I was let off. Grated the license probably also has something to do with it as well, but I figure why take chances. What I use to do was send them a Christmas card and address it to the President of the PBA or whatever and Id get the note with a few stickers and a card.. Im just afraid they stopped giving them out like that. I guess I have to try and see what happens.. My brother got one from eBay once though.. I figure getting it legitimatly is a good cause as well.

My best friend in High School, his Dad was a Police Captain. He used to give all of us PBA cards and a Captains Card. We never used them but they were really cool to have.
