As an aside, they were filming this movie a couple days before Thanksgiving in the town right next to me (Howell, NJ). It's possible the street in the trailer where all the people come out is where they were filming. I'm not familiar with the area they were shooting, so I'm not sure.

Eh. Hard to say. Up until the brief explosions, it just looked like Spielberg was trying to remake Close Encounters.

Spielberg was filming on First Street in Bayonne last month. They built a fake gas station and got great shots of the Bayonne Bridge for the flick. Tom Cruise took shits where Uncle Milties used to be. I have fond memories of that dump.

I haven't liked anything with Tom Cruise in a long time, aside from Eyes Wide Shut (which took me a looooong time and a lot of viewings to eventually like). So regardless of the previews I have a feeling it's going to suck. I haven't seen collateral so I don't know how good it is, but other than that most other films I've seen him in (minority report, vanilla sky, etc..) have just sucked.
