What is RSS? I iknow it's some sort of feed, but what exactly is it, and what is its point?

Prominent websites featuring RSS .91 or 2.0 feeds include the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, BBC, and CNET's News.com. Some search engines now specialize in retrieving RSS feeds.

RSS is sex. It adds a little bookmark thing in your bookmark menu that loads up and lets you view the headlines and article titles off of webpages that support it so you don't have to actually go to the page.

Gmail is adding RSS support to it's email service too which is pretty exciting.
