I mean he coached 2 years at Bowling Green and 2 years at Utah.
Not exactly Joe Paterno/Bobby Bowden kinda school.
The SEC will chew him up and spit him out.
He'll be coaching in the Sun Belt in 5 years.

Did the folks at Notre Dame eff'd up royally or what? Memo to them--a coach won't take your job just becasue you are Notre Dame anymore. Meyer wants to bring in his Juco guys, and that just ain't gonna happen in South Bend. Now they have to scrounge and struggle to find a coach who might be as good as good as the one they just fired.

Face it, they were gonna get rid of Willingham eventually anyway so I dont think they screwed up.
It'll probably be either Butch Davis or Tedford from Cal.
I still see Barry Alvarez's name out there but the last 2 times the job came up either he wasnt interested or ND wasnt interested.

C'mon Meyer is a former ND assistant, midwestern guy. They though they had him in the bag.

Tedford is a west coast guy, I don't think he comes east.

Yeah but the plus on Tedford is that he's got major conference, PAC 10, recruiting experience.
Meyer has only recruited MWC players that didnt wanna go to Utah St or BYU and marginal JUCO talent.
He is fortunate enough to have one really good player, Alex Smith, that has helped him this year.

Hate to say I was right, but:
