I was cleaning out my desk drawer at work and found a Master Lock that I used for the gym though I've since forgotten the combo. Is there a way to crack the combo or reset it? Or should I just toss it? It's one of these jammies below...

that jolly roger anarchist's cookbook that was all the rage when I was in High School had a way to crack those. I can't remember exactly, but I seemed to remember doing it once or twice to a gym lock.

You can crack it if you take the time.
Safecracking takes a whie, and patience, and knowing a bit about locks; like that one, it gives you the last number up real quick, and the first two are a matter of how far the offset is on the pins, meaning, for me, 2 hours, for a pro; 10 mins.
Safecracking was a hobby of Richard Feynman's and he wrote a lot about it; enough that if you hand me that combination lock right after youve opened it and re-locked it and spund the dial around? 30 mins tops; I opened my students [when they asked, I mean...] and theyd freak.
Kicking the locker worked too.

If you can give me about a week or two, to find it, I have the "Master" master list of combination codes.
Oh, the fun I had in High School swapping identical looking locks...
But since that list is the proverbial needle in the haystack, toss it and pony up another 4 bucks if you need a lock!
