OSAKA - Videogame manufacturer Nintendo Co has become the majority owner of Major League Baseball franchise the Seattle Mariners, company officials said Thursday.

Former Nintendo President Hiroshi Yamauchi, who led the $125 million buyout of the team in 1992, sold his privately held shares for $67 million to the U.S. subsidiary of Nintendo in August, boosting Nintendo's ownership to more than 50 percent, the officials said. (Kyodo News)

And just 2 days ago Nintendo announced Mario Baseball for Gamecube (http://media.cube.ign.com/media/716/716495/imgs_1.html). Coincidence? I think NOT.

I'd say about the time the new Zelda is released. Or when DS completely dominates PSP. Possibly when Revolution is revealed.

Pick your death.

Wish they'd spend that money on reforming their image. It's completely disregarded by mainstream adult gamers.

The DS is pretty cool, but I'm not so sure about that double screen thing. (The bottom screen can be used as a touch pad control for the top screen game play, I think people would prefer real buttons for games which is does have as well.)
