A user who is unable to login from home has learned that he needs to clear his cache, and that should fix the problem. The problem is that he doesn't know how to go about doing that, and damned if I'm of any help. Any advice on how he can go about clearing his cache? He's using XP Professional Pack 1.

If he's using Internet Explorer use the following instructions...
Clearing Your Browser's Cache
All those files stored in your cache take up space, so from time to time, you may want to clear out the files stored in your cache to free up some space on your computer. This is called clearing the cache.
To clear your cache:
1.
On the Internet Explorer Tools menu, click Internet Options. The Internet Options box should open to the General tab.
2.
On the General tab, in the Temporary Internet Files section, click the Delete Files button. This will delete all the files that are currently stored in your cache.

The Delete Files button
3.
Click OK, and then click OK again.
Microsoft's website has a section devoted to this specificially here... (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/using/howto/customizing/clearcache.mspx) with lots of tips and info on setting up your browser for optimal performance.

From the Tools menu, select Options... .
In the Options window that appears, select Privacy.

He shouldn't get rid of his cookies. I mean, my grandma makes good cookies, but they're not as good as browser cookies. Have him send them to me.

It's a nice idea, but that doesn't work. If you're cruising porn sites, the IT guys are gonna know.
