Here's a movie that would have normally slipped under the radar if it weren't for these morons (http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/variety/20041110/va_mi/_kinsey__draws_ire_1) getting all bitchy about it.

But the best quote comes from the imdb. The youth group Generation Life, composed of "virgins and renewed virgins," announced that it would picket theaters showing the film.

Kinsey did studies throughout the early part of the 20th century regarding human sexuality. He's considered one of the people responsible for bringing about the sexual revolution and helping destigmatize homosexuality.

Since religious conservatives hate sex they hate the fact a movie was made based on this guy.

I'm a religious conservative. I don't hate sex. I want to wait till I'm married, but thats just because I want it to be with someone I know I love.

Well we sure can see how de-stigmatized homosexulaity is; the references on this site alone would make a good paper. Repress much?

The sexual revolutions was that Kinsey found out what everyone knew, but would never admit:

-The vast vast majority of sex is people having it by themselves

and what only the women knew, but would never admit:

-In terms of Orgasm for women, Intercourse rarely does it

Seems pedestrian now, but these were the findings that, for some reason, made people uncomfortable about the study. Its a bit more then that, but...

Great - great - great. It's like the 1990s didn't happen at all. One lousy exposed tit - one stupid election - and they come out to begin wagging their fingers at the rest of the country - what they do best. What really makes me sad, is that so many GOOD people get swept up into this, either by association or by just holding tight to their one or two ideals.

Intellectual Morons: How Ideology Makes Smart People Fall for Stupid Ideas (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1400082692/qid=1100319235/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/102-0436657-9414516?v=glance&s=books)

I just don't get it - they claim they want state rights where it comes to the issue of abortion, but now, when it comes to the issues of dudes kissing, they need a constitutional amendment to protect marriage. All along they don't get that they are being played by the politicians they put in office who thrive on having these boogeyman causes out there to continute to get them into office.

On a parallel level, this morality/culture war is the very same thing as the "war on terrorism." They are wars that can't be won - period. And the politicans know it. They learned their lesson "winning" the Cold War - big mistake for them.

Pffffft.

Wait...what was this topic on again? Oh yeah...Kinsey.

Stupid trailer - supposed to be a good movie - the protests will do wonders for the box office.
