This was probably an earlier thread, so if it is go ahead and lock it.
There is so much negativity towards the patriot act and I was wondering if anyone was really affected by it.
I personally haven't been, but then again I'm young and that makes a difference.

I lost ALOT of money because I used to do sound for alot of raves and now they're few and far between and the crews throwing them are shady so I'm lucky to get paid at all sometimes.
However if you are a big band like the Rolling Stones, the Patriot act isn't enforced, and the show will go on no matter how much drugs are used. (including the bands drugs)

I understand Patriot Act II will replace the word "terrorists" with "terrorists and ankle-grabbers" and it has provisions to <a href="http://www.ronfez.net/messageboard/viewmessages.cfm/Forum/87/Topic/40408/page/The_Patriot_Act__How_Has_It_Hurt_Affected_YOU_.htm" target="_blank">LOCK</a> them all up in Fag Camps.

A judge still needs to sign a search warrant and wire tap. The government really doesnt have the time to monitor everyones library visits or purchases at bookstores.
Example if a married man goes to Waldenbooks and buys a book on how to cheat on his wife and not get caught, The feds wouldnt give a damn. The Patriot Act is set up sort of like how authorities go after mobsters or drug dealers but on a broader scale.

That's DEA, not DHS. little to do with the Patriot Act. Rave crack downs are more of the plans of ashcroft.
