I am thinking about ditching State Farm.. they are getting to be too expensive and now that Geico is in NJ they might be worth going to.
How is the Geico service? Are they any good? Will I feel lacking if something every happens? To they process claims quickly and all that good stuff?

Initially I was with Allstate until one day they screwed up and never sent me a bill. My agent never bothered to notify me of this and my insurance was cancelled and I wound up having to pay almost $700 in fines and was put into an assigned risk program and forced into using State Farm. I hated State Farm but had no choice until I came out of the assigned risk. After that I switched to another agent at Allstate for about six months, I then moved over to Geico which has been my insurance provider ever since. They definitely saved me $$$. I also signed up for the defensive driving course they offered and got a even better discount. Geico saved 20% or more by switching.

We switched to Geico after having been in an accident where the other person (they were at fault) used Geico insurance.
Their estimates and processing departments were great to work with from an "opposing party" perspective.
We were impressed enough to call them up after everything was taken care of and get an estimate. We saved enough $$ to make it worthwhile. Plus each time we've dealt with customer service for any issues, it's been quick and efficient.
Satisfaction approval rate: 97.8%

I have Geico. My family has had them for years. Never had a problem. We've had a few fender benders, never anything too serious, and Geico took care of it fine.

I also received my recent statement and they took like $30-40 off the bill because I have gone five years as a safe driver.

I love Geico. Less expensive than anyone else - very easy to deal with - no headaches.
Progressive, on the other hand - sucks.

I switched to Geico from State Farm last year, and it saved me some bucks. I also get another discount because I use their partner company 'Traveler's' for my homeowners insurance. I'm pleased with the service from both.

Sounds like I will be switching over to them this week then!
Anyone know if they do motorcycle insurance?
Oh, answered my own question:
GEICO motorcycle insurance is not available in Michigan, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Delaware, or New Jersey.
Shucks. I will have to see if switching to them and then getting my motorcycle insurance someplace else will cost me less then getting it all through State Farm ($125 a year for full bike coverage!)

I've been using them for 10 years now. So far, so good.

The only reason I left them was because I had liability only and when someone hit my parked car they wouldn't help at all. "Sorry insurance is a shield not a sword you'll have to pursue them yourself. " Just made everything a pain in the ass.
