I didnt really take my time to research and go back through the old pages of posts, but I was wondering if anyone else has seen this movie and what they thought of it.

I only saw the edited version, so Im not sure what I missed.

Im not even sure how I feel about the movie. Im still rehashing it in my brain so that I can figure out whether or not I really liked it. I certainly didn't hate it. I thought it was well done, although parts of the cinnematography were a little "flashy" but Im not sure if that was because it was the edited version.

I don't know what I missed or what, but people were simply appalled by this movie. It was well...I just dunno. It wasn't *that* appaling though.

I thought it was a pretty good movie. I think most of the controversy surrounding the film is because of the disturbing subject nature, but I thought the film was very well done. Aronofsky (sp?) is a very talented young director.

And Ellen Burstyn should have won the Oscar for this flick instead of that bitch Julia Roberts.

I thought it was the best movie of last year. Great performances by Jennifer Connelly, Jared Leto and especially Ellen Bursten who was 100000 times better than Julia Roberts. Even Marlon Wayans wasn't that bad. It was original, it was absorbing, it was so much better than Gladiator or CastAway. Aronfsky is a great young talent.

I don't get appalled from movies but I can tell the difference between a movie that amazes me and movies that don't. This amazed me.

I think your teacher realized she has a lot more to worry about than what book you're choosing for your book report. Hehehe, jk =)
