Yanks reportedly consider trading Posada for Big Unit (http://msn.foxsports.com/story/3131622)
I don't doubt the validity of the story just because Jorge doesn't have any type of no trade clause. From a sentimental point it makes me sad, but I'm also intelligent enough to realize he is severly on the decline. He's been the most overworked catcher in the league the last four years and it shows when he gets to the postseason considering his average is in the low 200s. I'm not really high on doing it for Randy just because I know he'll only be a rental for two years then we're stuck without anything. Trading him for Hudson is another matter entirely. Posada's a Billy Beane player obviously, and for it to get done the Yankees would have to pay a portion of his contract. Beane is already supposedly going to see what he can pull in for Hudson in the offseason because Oakland can't pay him what he's worth after this year when he becomes a free agent. Having Hudson though would revamp the rotation completely.
