808 Douche and Turd
When PETA demonstrates against the use of a cow as South Park Elementary's mascot, the student body is forced to choose a new one. As the election approaches, Kyle tries to convince everyone that his candidate, a giant douche, is better than Cartman's nominee, a turd sandwich.

It looks like they are gonna attack all those Rock the Vote/Vote or Die groups, which is a shame for me since this is one issue I really disagree with them on. It'll still probably be funny, although I am a bit worried that their burnt out from Team America. Anyway, I'm glad there will be new South Park for the next few weeks.

Are Matt and Trey saying

people shouldn't vote if they don't know who to vote for or

are they saying it doesn't matter if they vote or

are they saying Celebs who do these "Vote or Die"/"Rock the Vote" things are just doing it to look cool and they need to shut up?

The episode description makes it seem as if they are saying that you shouldn't be pressured to vote if you have to choose between a "turd sandwich" and a "douche." But they said in their Rolling Stone interview that you shouldn't be pressuring people who don't know shit to vote anyway, that that's irresponsible.

I think the voter registration drives are trying to get people informed as well as voting. I think as long as people don't vote, they will keep getting ignored by politicians. Just look at Bush's Medicare program to see what a group can get if they vote in high numbers. Who would of thought that a Republican President with a Republican Congress would pass something like that! So, on that point, I disagree with them.

Leave it to cartoons to show America why people like me aren't voting.

Man, you got absolutely NOTHING from the episode, did you? Just went completely over your head.

In regards to your remarks about the voter registration groups, please rewatch the episode when it's re-broadcast in a couple hours, and pay particular attention to Kyle's reaction to Stan's decision to vote for "turd sandwich."

I wrote that before the episode aired Sherlock. I guess even your master deduction skills couldn't figure that out just from what I wrote.

And every voter registration drive I have seen has bent over backwards to be non-partisan. I have never seen anything even close to resembling that scene with Kyle. I don't doubt that it happens occasionally overzealous registrators, but that shouldn't be used as an indictment of the whole movement.

And one fucking South Park episode isn't going to change my mind. I missed the first 10 minutes, so I'll save my review for later, but from what I saw it was a good episode. Very funny PETA stuff.

I thought it was great to see all those PETA bastards die as well as the ostrich kid.

The whole take on voting was absolutely genius even with the debate segment. Think about it. Matt and Trey were not trying to send a message, they were just making fun of the entire voting situation. Even the whole "every vote counts" cop out was made fun of when they went back to being cows and Stan's dad says, "Now you're vote doesn't count."

They're not out to make a statement, they're just saying what pretty much a majority of Americans are thinking.

Good, good episode.

I thought they might have lost the plot with "Team America" being not very good and all, but last night's episode was hilarious.

"NOW your vote doesn't matter."

That was a very good episode. I loved the Puffy Vote or Die song, and I lost it when that PETA guy threw red paint on Puffy. It was a great sendup of the polarized climate right now, and that debate parody was good too. Glad to see the guys are on their game.

Just when I think Matt and Trey are going conservative on me, they come back and give us a liberals a gift in the midst of our darkness. Tonight's new episode: "Something Wall-Mart This Way Comes."

The streets of South Park are like a ghost-town when a giant Wall-Mart lures all the townspeople to the new store with its incredible bargains. Cartman becomes a boy possessed by the power of Wall-Mart and its low, low prices. In order to save their town, Stan and Kyle have to find a way to destroy the ever-expanding superstore while keeping Cartman from stabbing them in the back.

All of the above. They were on CNN when Team America came out and they expressed their disgust with the idea of just sending young people out to vote without informing them. I can't say I disagree with that.

I really enjoy the episodes were they don't focus on Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman. South Park has so many great characters.

How long do you guys see SP staying on for? It's as good as it's ever been.

Tonight was the last South park this season, "Woodland Creatures Christmas." It was a kick-ass episode that started slow but really, REALLY picked up towards the end. I'd advise you to catch it on the replay this weekend because new episodes aren't coming until March.
