Who the fuck is this douche bag to turn other people's televisions off? I like restaurants with TV's.

I could see if this thing had a volume control. Sometimes the TV is so loud it's a real annoyance. Other times there is no volume at all and you really want to know what's going on. But I've never been in an establishment & just absolutely needed to have that TV off right now.

I think people just want to fuck with owners & patrons. Watch them get all pissed off as the TV shuts off just as the winning field goal is in mid flight, etc.

Then in about 8-10 months, when these things become ULTRA annoying & every other person has one, the same company starts offering restaurant owners a scrambler to combat his first invention & within a year or 18 months this thing becomes little more than a footnote in an episode of VH1's "I Love the Ought-ies" in another five or so years (assuming they wait that long).

I have a Sony Clie handheld (much like a Palm Pilot) that has remote control options for all Sony electronics. I can use is to control any Sony TV, CD player, DVD player, VCR, etc.

Its great when I want to change a channel in a bar without having to ask the bartender to do it for me.

I knew a kid in high school that had a watch that did this. He would always fuck with the science teacher when watched a video. He was a total dick but it was pretty funny.
