no , Terrorism is an extremly important issue. But Bush and the Republicans are trying to scare people to vote for them. If you bombard people with scare tactics, people will most likely be terrified.

Seems to me Guilliani is the only one who can actually pronounce the word "terrorist".

Draft, global warming, stem-cell research. I haven't been drafted, drowned in a rising ocean, or witnessed someone walk because of fetus stem cells (though people on the Left have scared me into thinking all are guaranteed if Bush is re-elected). I do, however, know people who have died at the hands of terrorists.

Stem-cell research is definitely not gauranteed if Bush is reelected.

Wasn't reinstituting the draft Charles Rangel's idea?

Man, it sure would be scary as shit to see people walking because of stem cells. I'm practically shitting my pants right now thinking about it.

Where did the draft issue even come up? The closest I've come to hearing it mentioned by the actual candidates is Kerry's description of current re-enlistment policies as a sort of "back-door draft." How did this insane idea of us being THIS close to another ACTUAL draft even get started?

I think I get what you're trying to say, but with the second two, it's still pretty ridiculous. We're supposed to wait UNTIL we suffer from severe environmental problems to attempt further widespread and lasting environmental protection legislation? And bringing up stem cells that way just smacks of Laura Bush's "we don't know what they'll be able to do, so why start?"-speech. That kind of research has barely gotten off the ground, and has been pretty harshly hindered by the Bush administration, so how can we know what stem cells are truly capable of?

Charles Rangel brought up the bill about the draft supposedly to actually scare people (he even voted against it himself) into voting Kerry, so that's a great point and one that is just an example of how the Democrats look for ways to get criticized. I certainly hate almost every high profile NY Democrat (ironically I guess) with like the exception of Mark Green who I've met and think is a very good guy and should've won the election but apparently NYC liked the idea of having a mayor who would basically give us an allowance and just overall treat us like his underlings not his constituents. But I guess that's mostly off subject.
Global Warming and Stem Cell Research are issues where I just think Bush should definitely be losing, especially global warming. They're just issues where I think the Republicans have been passed by and the fact that the president doesn't really believe in global warming is like scary. It's happening. Like 99% of scientists say that it is happening but the man basically denies its existence. Kerry's not much better, but a C- is better than an F anyday.
