Motley Crue guitarist undergoes hip replacement surgery (http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1491983/20041006/motley_crue.jhtml?headlines=true)

He always looked like the Uncle of the guys in Motley Crue.

"Hey Vince, Nikki & Tommy - how about after we finish this 8-ball we head over to the Cracker Barrell for the early-bird special? And don't drive so fast..."

Mars, 53, has been suffering from a chronic degenerative illness, ankylosing spondylitis, for some time and underwent the surgery to ease the pain of the damaged joint, according to his spokesperson.

Yeah I've followed this a bit and it's amazing the guys still alive. This is one of those where the bones start to fuse, or fuse incorrectly; hence his literally box shaped head.

and I think he is like five years older, definately looks like it.

=

But Hey! Come On! So what if he looks like a Sleestak?! Ya gotta admit he laid down some of the most Smokin' guitar in Metal, and love them or hate them, his guitar work on some albums, 'Dr. Feelgood' in particular, are just kick ass. And I can tell you live, it's hard to sound good in metal with one guitar and bass. He just smoked live.

So between him and Eddie Van Halen, they have parts for one body. Wow were all getting old.

How can you not instantly recognize the pure unadulterated awesomeness that is David Lopan?

Funkman becomes my favorite poster just by posting that one pic.
