Classic movie Psycho...and classic scene. She will always be remembered as a piece of cinematic history.

2004 - Not a good year to be an old woman who has met Curtoid...Fay Wray, Julia Child and now Janet Leigh...

Nice woman; met her about 5 years ago; I don't have any real interesting story about her like I did about Fay or Julia, but I do have an interesting one about the second time I met her exhusband, Tony Curtis (Jamie Lee's father), who told me that if we got married, my name would be "Curtis Curtis."

For once I actually thought on my feet, and I actually told the old queen that he could always change his last name. He just grimmaced at me after that. His girlfriend at the time was maybe the hotest woman I've ever seen in my life.

Not much of a tribute to Janet Leigh...hmmmmm...I do love PSYCHO. Hitchcock, being a sick fuck, always thought it was one of his funnier movies. Its a great film to study - the times you can watch Norman as he actually becomes "mother" in front of your eyes, except you just don't know it. The way he rubs the inside of his thighs when he's talking during one scene, or the telling moment when he doens't have the sense to come in out of the rain.

There's a great post-sex scene in a hotel room at the start of the film, with Janet in her bra that always kind of surprised me (36C-21-36).

Not sure how this movie plays today with "the kids," but I still love it.

Outside of "Psycho" she also appeared in "Bye Bye Birdie," the original "Manchurian Candidate" and the original "Angels in the Outfield," among about 60 other films. Janet also got to be in at least two movies with Jamie Lee, who was the early 1980s "Scream Queen" - "The Fog" and the more recent "Halloween H20" from 1998.

She also said she couldnt take a shower after filming Psycho it freaked her out so much.

It's weak in points but 'The Fog' is one of my guilty pleasures and she was great in that, and she plays in the movie with Jamie Lee, but not together; totally different subplots. Cool.

Curtoid, I think Psycho ages pretty well. It's definately dated, but it really sinks into quite a nice level of horror that is lacking today; horror without CGI monsters around the corner to rip you to shreads.

She was great.

And come on! Jamie Lee a he/she! dude that totally ruins the strip scene from 'True Lies'.

I missed the show tonight, so I don't know if they talked about it. R&F had a bad run in with Janet Leigh years back. When it was the Ron & Ron show, Leigh did a phone interview, and one of their staff members said they should ask her about Jamie Lee Curtis being a hermaphrodite. They balked, but the staff member swore to having seen Janet Leigh & Jamie Lee on Oprah or Donahue talking openly about Jamie Lee's "condition".

So, anyway, they asked her about it, and it went horribly. Janet Leigh was appalled and it apparently turned into this hugely uncomfortable interview.

Anyway, Psycho has aged remarkably well. R.I.P., Ms. Leigh.

Mikey Yep! Ron did indeed recount in detail on exactly how Ms. Leigh "Went Off" on him. Great great story. They segued into movies that still scare people, so it was a cool segment for horror movie fans like moi.
