My girlfriend's little brother is doing a report on this book so I told him there is a movie. Does anyone know if the movie and the book are the same? He would not be using the movie in place of but rather to aid him.

Let me get this out of the way.

Yes, they deserved to die and I hope they burn in hell!

I got an idea, an idea so smart my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about.

Despite that fact, this is one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my life. It's not even humorously bad.

Haven't read the book, so I can' help you there.

Read the book and saw the movie about the same time the movie came out. I liked them both, and as far as I can remember the movie was mostly faithful to the book. I think the main difference was the same as with most books-to-movies: the necessary ommission of scenes and characters in the movie version. I don't remember if the script was as faithful to the dialogue of the book as was Clockwork Orange, but the story is generally the same. I think it would help, as long as he actually reads the book.
