I have a question for any of my Jersey friends who may be able to help me with this.

Tomorrow me and Amy will be in Princeton on Rte 1, and I need to get to the Jersey Turnpike to head over to Philly for the Phillies game tomorrow night. Is there a point where Rte 1 and the Turnpike intersect around there, or is there a road I need to take from Rte 1 to get me to the Turnpike?

I'm guessing this is the right way to go based on the directions below. If someone has better directions for me to follow from Route 1 to get there, please share it. Any help would be appreciated.

New Jersey Turnpike
Get off at exit 3 (Route 168 North). Follow signs to Walt Whitman Bridge and follow SOUTH JERSEY directions.

South Jersey
Take the Walt Whitman Bridge. After crossing into Philadelphia
Take the Packer Avenue/7th Street Exit, 350. Continue on 7th Street or turn right onto Packer Avenue and follow map to ballpark parking.
Take the Broad Street Exit, 349. Make a left onto Broad Street as you come off the exit. Follow map to ballpark parking.
Take the Front Street Exit, 351. Bear right onto Front Street. Turn right onto Packer Avenue or continue to Pattison Avenue and follow map to ballpark parking.

STREET ADDRESS
The Phillies
Citizens Bank Park
One Citizens Bank Way
Philadelphia, PA 19148-5249

Directions from the Phillies website... (http://philadelphia.phillies.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/phi/ballpark/parking.jsp)

Reef, take Rt. 1 South to I-95 South towards Rt 195. Get on I-195 East and you'll hit the Turnpike at exit 7 or 7a, I forget. Either way go South and you're there.

Be careful, because the whole 95 North/South - 195 East/West thing gets confusing. The direction to go from Rt 1 to 195 on 95 is like you're making a left onto 95. I'm pretty sure it's 95 South.

Here's a map (http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?country=US&countryid=US&addtohistory=&searchtab=address&searchtype=address&address=&city=princeton+&state=nj&zipcode=&search=++Search++)

Edit: And if you see a sign that says anything like "Now entering Camden", TURN THE FUCK AROUND!!!!

You can stay on I-95 right into Philly from the Princeton area. You don't even have to go on the Turnpike. I-95 crosses into Pennsylvania near Scudders Falls and heads south right into Philly. It intersects with I-76 which is the road that the Whitman dumps you off onto.

I think wilee is right. I'm not too familiar with Princeton, but I do know the stadiums are right off I95 south of downtown.

I'd recommend staying off of 295. There's a lot of construction going on down there and it gets pretty jammed up and slow at times.

2 ways to get here (philly)

1)STAY on RT 1- its a long way BUT YOU WILL HIT 76 into the city

2)Exit 6 off NJ turnpike is PA- take that till you go thru tolls to get on to PENN TURNPIKE- get off Phila exit (this again will take you to RT 1)

I agree at times it does Wile. E. but 295 does bring you right into Route 1 in the Princton area. He could take the Ben Franklin or the Walt Whitman to 295 north then take 295 north to Route 1 north. and just follow the directions back to head to the game.

Either that or Just take 295 north to 195 east...about 5-10 minutes on 195 east you will see the turnpike exit, Turnpike north (should should know the rest of the way)

Thanks for the directions everyone. Especially Matt (Fluff) for the directions he gave were perfect. I took rte 1 to i95 all the way there. It couldn't have been simpler, and Matt's local directions when we got there were perfect. The game was great except for the fact that the Phillies lost, but it was still an awesome time. Plus we had some really great cheesesteaks at the game from Tony Lukes. If you're over in the area during the season definitely take in a game, the new stadium is really nice, and the food is great.

Thanks to Matt and Gina for getting us the tickets.
