HDLoader / HDAdvance - PS2 mods

Just curious about how many people have heard about these programs (HDloader or HDAdvance) and have done any experimentation with them?

Basically, it's a program to rig a hard drive to your PS2 and DL games directly into it w/o modification - completely software based.

OK, so I dropped 135 bucks and got a hard drive and HD Loader for my PS2.

Installation was easy. Remove the Network adapter, plug adapter into HD, then HD+Adaptaper back into the PS2.

I then transferred three games into my HD.

Then...

Holy. Fucking. Shit.

First, the load time for PS2 games in GONE. It's almost like my PS2 has turned into a cartridge based system, THAT'S how fast it is.

Secondly, I'm getting to get a gamepass at Blockbuster and give that a little workout.

The only problem with the games on the HD is that you can't playing them online due to DNAS. There are some games that don't work, but it's few and far between. 95 percent of them work.

In case you can't read between the lines, once the game is on the hard drive, you don't need the original game disc to play the game. Ahem.
