R&F more open about the SU?

Have Ron and Fez been getting more open about this that they were in the past?

Also about Fez's name (if you heard the Re-Name Fez bit on Thursday last week)

Were they ever really secret about it? I know they've mentioned it several times in the last year, and even credit it with keeping fans in the loop, not to mention getting Johnny "Fairplay" in as a fan. Last week I seem to remember that they seemed to even mention it again as being something positive, and again chided corporate backwards thinking.

They have mentioned it many times, including Mike Steels by name a bunch. they are not that secret about it. the always talk about how the NY people are on such a long delay.

If they were discussing Fez's name on the show the other night, there's no reason to not bring it up on the board. The only concerns before were the negative feelings that seemed to arise when Don Geronimo "exposed" Fez's real name over the air, as if it was something that was supposed to be somehwat "secret." If R&F themselves are freely using it, then of course it can be discussed here.

As for the feed, they've always talked about it in general as being out there. Bringing up SU, or some people involved with it, is light years from saying what the exact info or address of the feed is, and THAT'S the only thing that people need to be wary about. People can talk ABOUT SU until they're blue in the face, or even about specifc SU feeds (ie - "What's up with Big Sexy?"), but when the specifics start getting tossed around, details that could lead "the man" to shutting a feed down, that's what R&F won't do and we don't want here.

I didn't hear anything last week (off week for me - I was listening that closely), but it MIGHT have had something to do with Don mentioning on his show that Michael Hughes (their new general manager) was ACTUALLY named Todd Hughes, and was making a big deal about that, because you never see a radio general manager change their names.

Not that I heard Fez or anyone else mentioned by name, but maybe R&F took that and ran with it on their show (there's been more cross over with the shows at JFK), and maybe made a joke about "why would someone with that name change it?" - like thye've done before.

Hell - if you listen dangerously close, you'd hear all sorts of things, like names of various family members, etc.

They never actually said it. so it's still not to be mentioned. But they came very close to saying it (and if you had no idea what it was, you could easily put it together)

In the last few months Ron has been constantly saying Fez's name. When Crazy Jen was "Crazy Jen Whatley" Ron would say "oh now theres 2 people with fake names. Your names not Fez Whatley, its _____".

He always mumbles it, but its right there.
