Comes out tomorrow (the 17th) in NYC theaters..
Ghost in the Shell: Innocence (http://www.gofishpictures.com/GITS2/)
Sequel to the famous first anime by the same name (Ghost in the Shell).
I am thinking that I might need to drag my injured corpse (tore my ACL) into the city this weekend to go see this flick as I have been waiting a long time for it (years since the last movie and a few years since the first TV series and a second series going on right now)
OH!
If you want to see the first 8 minutes of the movie go over to Fandango (http://www.fandango.com), pull up the info for the movie, and it will let you watch it!

It looks pretty in the commercials. And the first 8 minutes are available online at the official site.
I may not get to it this weekend, but I look forward to seeing it.

Considering the original "Ghost in the Shell" is perhaps the most convoluted and overrated anime EVER made...........EVER.......I think I'll pass on this one.

Don't blame me....I voted for Kodos.
I look forward to an orderly election that will eliminate the need for a violent bloodbath. </center>

The first movie was so short, like just over an hour long...and like "Akira," it was so different from the original book, it might have been a totally seperate entity.

What anime do you like? Aside from Miyazaki movies (Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, etc)

So has anyone seen this movie yet?
I just finished the import DVD and must say it was a very good movie. A bit complicated at times but still good. Action was there when it was needed and the plot was a good mystery of sorts. I think. Music was also top notch.
In terms on animation I think this movie set a new high point of quality. I'm still waiting to see an American animation product of this sort of quality.
