The HBO documentary that says How Mike Piazza's home run in the first game back after 9/11 and the yankees in the Word Series saved and helped heal New York from 9/11. It's on tomorrow night. Anyone going to watch.

it ties into that ken burns' mindset that baseball transcends all ...

i'll definitely watch until the end, that 9th inning in araizona still lingers ...

there was an article in the time around the fall of 2001 ... it spoke of baseball's impact in the lives of those that lost their lives in the attacks ... so many obituaries listed their love of yanks and mets as key rememberances ...

all this is is just another exploitation of 9/11 while sucking the Yankee's cock at the same time. I'm sick of this crap of everyone still has to do something about 9/11, three years after the fact. It's like having a rape victim relive the trauma over and over again, yet with this, some sucmbag is going to make money off of this shit

it seems more like another angle, maybe a more personal angle of a national tragedy ...

using baseball to tell the story of NY after the attacks probably speaks more to most than a geo-political slant ...

Ummm... that would be Mets.

And even at the time, people wanted to return to normal lives, and it was when baseball restarted in NY that people started thinking that things were back to normal.

This wasn't good. It was great.

Admittedly, I'm a baseball junkie, but this shit was good.

Highly recommended, from a Met fan.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it seems your opinion is incorrect.

They let everyone down when they lost the World Series. No one remembers second place. Winning is everything.

No one remembers second place.

Unless you're a Red Sox fan.
